ABOUT THE COURSE
A basic and general introduction to teaching children English. This is NOT A LECTURE COURSE. It is an intensive hands-on, interactive program filled with practice sessions.  Methodology is supported by theory, but the emphasis is on how to apply this theory in the classroom. Sessions are enthusiastic, dynamic, energetic, and filled with FUN.

Your instructor, MARCO BRAZIL, is a well experienced teacher for children and teacher trainer who has been writing, presenting, and developing teaching materials for over 15 years. He has two bachelor's degree in Development Communication (DevCom) and Child Psychology. He is also a regular and popular presenter for Oxford University Press Teaching Workshop Series. Marco also runs his own school -  SmartKIDS CIRCLE. This course reflects his own 15-year experience in teaching English to children in Japan.

PHONICS AND SIGHTWORDS: EMPOWERING CHILDREN TO READ
Phonics and sightwords acquisition are two important building blocks in the construction of children's ability to read and should be introduced in such a way to make it seem easy, fun, and relevant.  Phonics and sightwords instruction is most effective as regular, short sessions, integrated into normal classes. This workshop will teach you ways to making phonics and sightwords fun and easy for both children and teachers.
